Wenatchee, Tehaleh, and Trial

Last week of November 2012. Matt was in trial and I was in the field. Only one of us was able to take pictures. These are my favorites.

Our work took us through an orchard.

Vastness

Look at a tree, a flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are,
how deeply rooted in Being. Allow nature to teach you stillness.

ECKHART TOLLE, Stillness Speaks

Brain: Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: Whoof, oh, I'd have to say the odds of that are terribly slim, Brain.
Brain: True.
Pinky: I mean, really, when have I ever been pondering what you've been pondering?
Brain: To my knowledge, never.
Pinky: Exactly. So, what are the chances that this time, I'm pondering what you're pondering?
Brain: Next to nil.
Pinky: Well, that's exactly what I'm thinking, too.
Brain: Therefore, you are pondering what I'm pondering.
Pinky: Poit, I guess I am!

There is new life in the soil for every man. There is healing in the trees for tired minds and for our overburdened spirits, there is strength in the hills, if only we will lift up our eyes. Remember that nature is your great restorer.

CALVIN COOLIDGE, speech, Jul. 25, 1924
